the smell of salt was light and the breeze had a cool edge to it... i forgot what that felt like. it was a beautiful evening on pensacola beach... and it's starting to feel like fall :) and little miss emma was as happy about it as i was! she was hilarious! big giant smiles and adorable high-pitched squeals. i loved it! and how fun to hang out with lisa & brian for a little while - so happy you guys made it down to visit with beautiful weather!

they just moved to the area.... just in time for our latest storm tropical storm lee. ru was leaving the next morning due to a short military leave, and since he would be back for little baby popping out, we braced ourselves and went out in yucky rainy lee for some photos... aaaand, i'm so glad we did!!! how adorable are they??? and the sky calmed down for a few minutes so we could step out and enjoy a few cute spots of downtown pensacola :)

this is my avery. when she was 2! usually i don't post i heart faces photo challenges because i see the theme and just cannot decide on the photo... it takes me forever to think of a few favorites and by the time i think i've got one selected, the contest is over and then all of a sudden it's next week. and then it happens all over again... :) BUT, when i saw this week's theme - i only had one photo in mind. and this is it. i love these eyes. i love looking at them every day. and now that she's 4, they haven't changed much, but i'll never forget this moment when she was a little thing...and love everything about this photo of my baby girl's beautiful, gorgeous, amazing eyes...

this photo just says "family" to me. i love the coziness, the smiles, the warmness.... and the sandy beach feet. :) i just love it. makes me feel cozy & warm inside :) i really had one of the best times i've ever had with a family the other night out at pensacola beach doing family time photos... we laughed & chatted & laughed some more... by the time they left, i felt like part of the family. :)

julie & glenn... you guys are a-dor-a-ble! and the girls.... just gorgeous :)

awww - sweet sisters... and they really do get along and just love each other :) aww, i just love it...

then i told them to think about how that morning she probably stole a shirt... so go ahead and knock each other off the fence... :) which, they started to, but the sweet sisterness kicked in and they made the sweetest moment ;) makes me think of my sisters...have i ever told you i love my sisters? (sigh)

the sweetest family, ever! we've had this session set since december - and how the time has flown by and this adorable family is ready for their destin, florida vacation.... starting it out with a few gorgeous photos from the most perfect afternoon. crowded?...a little. it was the 4th of july weekend, so naturally there were a few more folks there...but...we managed to find some lonely beach space and had an incredible time! i just LOVE this little family...

....here come the girls! they are stylin'. they are shoppin'. they are fabulous! and they are my little models for signature selections in cantonment, fl, the cutest boutique, monogramming shop in the area! if you haven't stopped by, you need to! the woman has fabulous taste... her bags are to die for... and it is a one-stop gift shop you cannot find anywhere else :)

not to mention the cutest models EVER :) the girls had a blast playing with the different bags... and yes i heard alot of "i want this one! no mommy... THIS ONE... is this so cute mommy??? o! i loooove the pink one.... me too!...ME too! ME TOO!" haha...we had a great time :)

this seriously was the most beautiful day ever.... a cool breeze in the air, the warm sun on your arms, the flowers blooming endlessly, laughter and happy voices filled the air... it's springtime here at the gardens and i couldn't have dreamed up such a gorgeous day for my mini-sessions! every family was a joy to photograph.... from busy little thomas to sweet beautiful sisters - savannah & scarlett - to adorable brother and sister - mckinley & tucker. just shy of 10 days old, meet this little man that i just met last week.... such a sweet thing, and slept like a rock for just about the whole time i was there... which was awhile ;) and he is so blessed to have two big sisters that love him and gush over him... look at all this new-baby yumminess ;)...... and i really have no idea which is my favorite... i truly love them all....

sweet little boy (sigh) he was just an angel the whole entire session.... i just could've cuddled him all day long :) wait. i think i did :) and he was actually born a bit too early - not due until the end of january, he decided he just had to be a christmas present... so he showed up a few days before christmas and spent a little time in the NICU, but not too long and was able to come home after the new year and is just fine :) and just look at all these adorable photos of him...

it was a gorgeous - little windy - amazing sunny day i met up with this beautiful family in downtown pensacola.... ryan was my little buddy - i loved his little personality and fabulous baby blues! look at those EYES. he couldn't have been cuter. and mommy & daddy are so in love with him too.... i love all these beautiful happy family moments...

my beautiful friend nicki. she is expecting little mia any day now...so of course we've got to get her "before photos" :) the light couldn't have been more perfect - the subject couldn't have been more perfect :) and we had some fun exploring this new piece of land i found... after a few prickers in the hiney, GIGANTIC red ant mounds (really, they make them that big?) & a couple of poison ivy scares later, we were able to capture these just magical pictures...

from one beach to the other... it was my great honor to photograph this san diego mommy last weekend when the dark skies were sporadic and ominous at best... i wasn't sure if we'd actually get the session since she had 2 days before she left to go back to cali, but moving fast & furious we managed a few. and look at that adorable belly bump! and also - i was loving that flower in her hair :) so sweet!

she's finally here and what a beautiful angel! you can see her "before pictures" here. she really is so perfect and so sleepy! it was wonderful to hold her and squish her into all of the different things & poses.... and not one peep out of her - i was shocked :) well...maybe there was a little peep while squishing her into her daddy's military hat - but who wouldn't squeak a little while squeezing into a hat? which is the most ADORABLE photo ever... i'll stop rambling so you can check it out :)
